DANCING WITH THE STARS

Never too far from controversy, Dancing With the Stars is a TV juggernaut that shows no signs of slowing down and we look forward to partnering with 7 for many seasons to come.

Currently in its eleventh series, CODA have been the edit systems supplier for the past three. In our first season working with 7, we designed a solution that provided a smooth transition from traditional SD field tape acquisition to a tapeless HD workflow.

Manu Feildel was crowned the Dancing with the Stars series 11 champion, winning the coveted mirror ball trophy with partner Alana Patience. The My Kitchen Rules judge and chef was lost for words after his win. Manu said: “I’m happy, very happy. It’s been hard but working hard pays off.”

Manu was awarded perfect 10s for his Freestyle Dance. Judge Helen Richey said: “You can’t buy what you’ve brought to this show. You are infectious”. While Joshua Horner simply added, “Mate, you’re a star. I love you”. Todd McKenney commented on his ‘old man’ dancing style and said; “Love you being here – you have bought so much joy to us.”

The series Grand Finale was a dance-off to the end between Manu Feildel, singer/songwriter Damien Leith and red carpet sensation Haley Bracken.

Our Role: edit system dry hire. 4 edit suites, 16 TB shared storage, Digi Beta VTR deck hire and 24 hr tech support. VT inserts for 3 series – 30 episodes. Series 9, 10 & 11.
